On Tuesday, Rashida Jones resigned as MSNBC president, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.
According to a source close to the outgoing boss, talent paid tribute to Jones on a call with most of the MSNBC staff, where she announced her decision.
MSNBC has appointed Rebecca Kutler, senior vice president of content strategy, as its interim president.
Nearly four years, she ran the liberal network. Days before President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House, Jones makes her decision.
Jones will reportedly stay on in an advisory capacity until March.
