Rachel Morin's mother was moved to tears following the election, as Trump promised to "bring justice" for her daughter.

Patty Morin expressed her gratitude to President-elect Trump for returning to the White House to enforce border security after her daughter, Rachel, was killed by an illegal immigrant in Maryland in 2023.

In a passionate "Fox & Friends" interview on Tuesday, Morin stated that he believes President Trump will fulfill his promise to safeguard our nation.

During the campaign, Trump met with Morin and pledged to address border security. The interview took place one day after Homan was appointed by Trump as the border czar and tasked with overseeing the deportation of criminal migrants.

"He immediately stated that they would shut down the borders and seek justice for Rachel and the other affected families."

Morin stated that she believes nonpartisan laws should be enacted because the border affects every family.

In 2023, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who crossed the border the same year killed Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, while she was jogging in Bel Air, Maryland.

Hernandez, who was previously wanted for homicide in El Salvador and has ties to criminal gangs, was charged with the murder and rape of Morin.

Democratic governors are vowing to "resist" Trump's immigration policies.

"Through me, you will reach my people," said Democrat Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, vowed to fiercely oppose any attempts to harm New Yorkers or take away their rights.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, a Democrat, stated that he would defend the Garden State and its communities from any attack by Washington with all his strength.

Morin stated that the accused illegal immigrant who killed his daughter was "expedited" into the country, and the existing "fundamental regulations and statutes" could have prevented his entry.

If more had been done to identify him and investigate his background, her daughter would still be alive.

"If they had simply performed the standard DNA swab, they would have discovered all the necessary information. They had three chances to do so at the border. However, it was the fourth time he escaped, but if they had done it at any of the other three opportunities, it could have saved my daughter's life."

Morin stated that she does not comprehend the objections to Trump's immigration policy put forth by his opponents.

"For what reason do they want to destabilize our country? It's unconscionable," she said.

"It's hard to believe that you're willing to accept losses and compromise for the sake of achieving your goals."

According to National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez, morale among Border Patrol has significantly increased since Trump's election.

Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, has announced a special session with the state legislature to protect California's values and rights from the Trump administration, as reported by NBC.

The Los Angeles City Council is working to speed up a law that would make Los Angeles a "sanctuary city" for illegal immigrants, in response to President-elect Trump's election last week.

The city's ordinance, which prohibits federal immigration officials from accessing city databases and using city resources for immigration enforcement, has been in legal review for a year and has not yet been implemented.
