Pickup trucks are used for baptizing college students: Jesus is stronger than brokenness.
Unite US founder states that thousands of students have attended these events.
In April, students from the University of Georgia were baptized in pick-up trucks in a parking lot and subsequently dedicated their lives to Christ.
Thousands of Gen-Zers gathered for worship, prayer, and personal testimonies at a Unite Georgia event. Some students were so moved by the prayer service that they decided to get baptized in the beds of pick-up trucks nearby.
"Nate Kearns, a junior who was baptized, told "The Ingraham Angle" that he just heard a call from the Lord, who said, "Be obedient," and he decided to take a step of faith and let his fraternity brothers watch him."
Despite being raised in a Christian family, Kearns did not have a close relationship with Christ and felt a divine calling to serve the Lord.
"Despite feeling shattered, Jesus Christ's love is stronger and He desires to have a personal connection with you. If you invoke the Lord's name, you will never be abandoned."
Tonya Prewett, the founder of Unite US, stated that the event can only be understood as the result of God's work.
"Thousands of students are attending these events and hundreds are dedicating their lives to Jesus, hundreds are getting baptized," Prewett stated. "We're hearing testimonies from these students saying, 'I came in contemplating suicide, but I left with the most joy and peace I've ever experienced.' It's truly incredible and inspiring."
The Christian mentor stated that students recognize their need for more and hope amid unbearable suffering.
"The students are searching for something, and what we are offering them is only hope and truth. However, we hope that they will find salvation, freedom, and connection through our efforts. Our prayer is that they will leave this event and become part of a local church or ministry, and that this decision will be a lifelong commitment."
