Pelosi: Trump's decision to skip presidential debate against Harris shows cowardice.
Planet Chronicle Digital reported that the Trump campaign stated that Pelosi lacks understanding on the matter.
Nancy Pelosi accused Donald Trump of cowardice for considering skipping the presidential debate, but Trump's campaign dismissed the claim as spreading "fake news."
At the Texas Tribune Festival, Pelosi spoke to journalist Kara Swisher about various topics and signed copies of her latest book. During the discussion, she frequently criticized Trump, increasing her tone of hostility when the upcoming ABC News Presidential Debate was brought up.
Pelosi advised Swisher on what to tell former President Trump before he faces off against Harris. The 84-year-old Pelosi joked, "Do you think he'll show up?"
The audience erupted in laughter and applause as Pelosi gave a slight smile.
Did you know something that Swisher didn't?
"I know cowardice when I see it," Pelosi responded.
During a previous Trib Fest event, Liz Cheney referred to Trump as a "misogynist pig," and Swisher assumed that Pelosi agreed with this statement.
"Isn’t she wonderful?" Pelosi said of Cheney.
In a previous part of the discussion, Pelosi informed Swisher that she holds the position of "Speaker Emerita," but still maintains the title of "Speaker."
The Trump campaign rejected Pelosi's proposal that Trump avoid the debate.
Nancy Pelosi has been exposed as a liar and fraud, and her fake titles and fake news peddling have been exposed. Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung made this statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Trump and Pelosi have a history of animosity, frequently engaging in verbal sparring matches. In 2020, Pelosi tore up her copy of Trump's State of the Union speech after he finished speaking to Congress.
Trump and Harris are scheduled to debate on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
