New Mexico rancher accuses Kamala Harris of pandering by expressing support for border wall.
Since the Biden and Harris administration came into power, Russell Johnson has observed unused border wall materials accumulating near his property.
The VP is facing criticism and accusations of pandering for changing her messaging on the border wall before the election.
As the election approaches, Democrats are increasingly sounding like Republicans, according to New Mexico rancher Russell Johnson, who made this statement on "Fox & Friends First" Wednesday.
If elected president, Harris has promised to allocate hundreds of millions of dollars towards building the wall along the southern border, despite previously opposing it, as reported by Axios.
Despite Harris' recent claims, the construction of the border wall has not continued under the Biden-Harris administration. Johnson stated that materials for the border barrier have been sitting unused near his property since the Biden administration began.
"Why hasn't this administration, which has been in charge for three and a half years, installed this material, which has been there for more than four years?"
"She's merely seeking votes by pandering. As the border czar for three and a half years, she has failed to take any action on the border, with the current administration halting any progress that would enhance safety and security in the nation."
After speaking with residents near the southern border, Harris altered her stance on the border wall.
Harris stated at the DNC that she would sign the Senate border bill, even though Trump did not support it. The bill mandates the use of hundreds of millions of unspent funds on the border wall. Nevertheless, Harris' advisers clarified that the bill does not offer any additional funding for the border wall.
Several Republicans, including Trump, criticized the bill for its provision that requires the border to be shut down only when 5,000 illegal immigrants cross daily, as well as the billions of dollars allocated for Ukraine and Israel.
According to a recent Planet Chronicle survey, nearly 9 out of 10 voters consider the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border to be an emergency (44%) or a major problem (43%), which is an increase from February when about 8 out of 10 felt the same way (41%) or it was a major problem (37%).
Trump's border wall has been characterized by Harris as a "medieval vanity project" that will not enhance the country's safety.
