Nevada voters are frustrated with the Biden-Harris border policy as the election approaches.
A majority of voters in a recent poll conducted by Planet Chronicle expressed trust in former President Donald Trump regarding immigration issues.
In the upcoming November election, immigration is a significant concern for voters. When questioned about Vice President Kamala Harris' handling of the border, Nevada residents had difficulty identifying any achievements.
Melissa stated that Harris hasn't done anything and now wants to steal Trump's ideas and build a wall, referring to her recent support for a failed Senate bill that would have included $650 million for new border wall construction.
When Trump was in office, Harris called the wall "un-American."
Suddenly, it's a great idea, Melissa exclaimed.
Since she has been serving as Vice President Joe Biden's second-in-command, it is challenging to determine if Harris has performed well or not, as stated by Carlos.
"The president was at the center of it all, according to him," he said to Planet Chronicle Digital. "She didn't have the chance to demonstrate her actions or lack thereof."
During Trump's presidency, annual migrant encounters ranged from 303,916 to 851,508, while in Biden's first year, they surged to 1,734,686.
In the lead-up to the election, the economy is the top concern for voters, with 40% of respondents to an October Planet Chronicle Poll citing it as their most significant factor when selecting a president. However, immigration follows closely behind, with 17% of respondents naming it their top issue.
Among those who consider immigration their top priority is Joao, a Trump supporter.
"Shut the frontier," Joao declared. "No one should enter unless they have proper legal authorization."
In the nearly four years that Harris has been vice president, border security has deteriorated.
Over 425,000 illegal immigrants with criminal records are currently free from ICE custody, including more than 13,000 homicide convicts and nearly 16,000 sexual assault convicts, according to data provided to lawmakers.
"Nick stated, "It's quite disheartening and dreadful not knowing who's in your neighborhoods." He added, "They could be anywhere in the United States.""
For the first time, Melissa admitted she no longer feels secure in Nevada.
"I felt safe during Trump's four-year tenure in office," she stated.
