Navy pilot rules out commercial contractors, questions federal involvement in NJ drone sightings.
Lt. Ryan Graves, a former U.S. Navy fighter pilot, warns that there is 'zero benefit, all risk' for operating drones so close to the ground.
Lt. Ryan Graves, a former F-18 U.S. Navy fighter pilot, stated that he disregarded the role of commercial contractors in the recent drone sightings in New Jersey.
"According to Graves, who analyzed the situation and listened to the Pentagon and legislative branch's statements, he is unable to believe that our government is acting in such confusion. If this is true, Graves hopes God will help us. He shared his thoughts on "The Story" with Planet Chronicle anchor Martha MacCallum on Thursday."
"Commercial contractors also face zero benefit and all risk when operating near the ground, particularly if it involves classified equipment."
Graves concluded his analysis points to "foreign adversaries or something else."
According to Graves, there is no "mothership" off the coast of Virginia and New Jersey that is launching these items, as directly stated by the Pentagon.
"Our radar systems on the Eastern seaboard are among the most advanced, allowing us to accurately track objects' locations, trajectories, and landing points. Therefore, we can confidently determine if these objects possess the ability to evade our technology or if we are being dishonest about the situation."
This week, leaders from both parties in New Jersey have spoken out about public concerns over drone sightings and the lack of clear answers.
On Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey characterized the drones as "highly advanced" and voiced his irritation over the ambiguity surrounding their source.
On "The Story," Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., revealed that he spent Monday night on a beach and spoke with a U.S. Coast Guard commanding officer about an incident from the previous night in which a Coast Guard 47-foot vessel was closely followed by more than a dozen drones.
On Wednesday, Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., wrote a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and FAA Administrator Michael Whitaker, requesting that they provide municipal and county officials with a briefing on drone activity and share any available information with the public.
On "The Faulkner Focus" Wednesday, Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., stated that "very qualified" and "reliable" sources believe the drones spotted over New Jersey may be linked to an Iranian "mothership" positioned off the East Coast. However, the Pentagon later denied this claim.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Jon Bramnick, R-N.J., urged the Department of Defense to investigate the enigmatic drone activity in the state.
On Thursday, House Speaker Mike Johnson received a classified briefing about the reported drone sightings in New Jersey.
Graves instructed McCallum to urge the government and Pentagon to deploy their full resources to investigate these objects, including identifying, characterizing, and selecting a primary target for further examination.
"Graves stated that the lack of communication between the different branches of government regarding the problem suggests uncertainty about what is happening. He found it difficult to believe that the Biden administration could continue its policy of cognitive dissonance on this topic, given that hundreds of people were witnessing the events."
The reported drone sightings are not limited to individuals on the ground, according to Graves.
"Graves stated that his nonprofit, Americans for Safe Aerospace, has been receiving reports from commercial pilots, military pilots, and veterans for over a year regarding a problematic issue at altitude while flying. He emphasized the need for a better coordinated response and listening to the people on the ground and in the air who are observing the issue."
