Nancy Pelosi is criticized by 'The View' co-host for suggesting that Biden should have withdrawn from the presidential race earlier.
Pelosi stated that she wants to clarify that it wasn't her who was responsible for the situation, according to Navarro.
On Monday, "The View" co-host Ana Navarro criticized former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for stating that Vice President Kamala Harris would have performed better in the election if President Biden had withdrawn earlier.
"Nancy, why are you being so unproductive, nasty, and unnecessary? You're trying to shift blame away from yourself, but you have no fault in this. You keep saying that Biden should have gotten out earlier and that there shouldn't have been a primary. Don't blame me for your actions," Navarro said.
Pelosi stated in an interview with Lulu Garcia-Navarro of The New York Times that if the president had left office earlier, there might have been other candidates running for president. However, she believed that Kamala Harris would still have won, but she may have been stronger if she had presented her case to the public earlier.
"We will never know if the results would have been different if Biden had stepped off earlier, stayed in, or if there had been an open primary," Navarro continued.
The co-host then suggested President Biden should pardon his son, Hunter Biden.
"Joe, since they're talking smack about you anyways, you know what? Maybe pardon Hunter. Pardon Hunter because we, basically America just pardoned a criminal who was convicted of felonies," she said.
Symone Sanders Townsend criticized Nancy Pelosi over the weekend for her part in Joe Biden's decision to drop out of the presidential race.
"Nancy Pelosi is known for her strategic abilities and counting skills while she was the speaker in Congress, but I wonder where her calculator is now that she has played in presidential politics this cycle and helped orchestrate the public demise of the president."
"Thank God for Joe Biden, who endorsed his VP, as the people wanted an open primary," Townsend said.
Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment from Pelosi's office was not immediately responded to.
