Mothers who lost daughters to illegal immigration criticize VP Harris' border trip as a "political stunt."
Patty Morin and Alexis Nungaray claim that VP Harris has not taken any actions to safeguard America.
Two mothers whose daughters were killed by illegal immigrants accused Vice President Kamala Harris of not contacting their families and labeled her border visit as a "fake" and a "political maneuver."
Alexis Nungaray, who lost her 12-year-old daughter Jocelyn to illegal immigrants that the Biden-Harris administration's border policies have let in, stated on "Hannity" Monday that they are no longer safe in this country.
In June, two illegal immigrants from Venezuela sexually assaulted Jocelyn Nungaray and then strangled her before leaving her body in a Houston creek.
"I believe Kamala Harris's border trip on Friday was a disgraceful and hollow effort, the worst I have ever seen from a presidential candidate," she stated.
On Friday, Harris toured the southern border in Douglas, Arizona, a swing state that is currently undecided in the presidential race, according to the latest Planet Chronicle Power Rankings.
When I saw it, it infuriated me. She has been in charge of the border for more than three years, yet she has accomplished nothing.
During her border trip, she stated that Harris had her people there to capture the "right angles" for a photo-op aimed at gaining political advantage.
Nungaray found it "repulsive" that she spent only "20 minutes" at the border without interacting with any "ground personnel or agents."
When Trump visited the border, Nungaray was invited, but she was not invited by Harris.
Nungaray stated that if he had been present during the interaction and observed how she handled it, he would have approached her and asked, "With the same effort you're putting in, which is none, would it be the same if this was your daughter that you had to bury?"
Harris has not contacted Nungaray's family to offer condolences.
"Kamala Harris and Democrat Collin Allred, who's running for senator in Texas, are not keeping people safe. We need someone who will actually make change and do something, and that's not Kamala."
Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel Morin was killed by an illegal immigrant, also criticized Harris.
In 2023, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador brutally murdered Rachel Morin, a mother of five, while she was jogging in an affluent Baltimore suburb.
"Morin stated on "Hannity" that she has not done anything in the past four years, denied any problems, and failed to acknowledge the murders of her daughter and other victims."
"The trip to the border is merely a political maneuver aimed at gaining approval and increasing support."
Morin stated that Harris has not taken any actions to ensure America's safety.
Nungaray felt "empathy" from former President Trump when he contacted the family.
"As a father, he called me, not as a previous president. He couldn't comprehend what it would be like if this was his child."
Our family has been contacted by President Trump on several occasions, with kindness and concern for our well-being as we recover from this tragedy.
On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris made her first visit to the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona since 2021, amidst criticism of her record on illegal immigration.
"The National Border Patrol Council criticized Vice President Kamala for visiting the border after years of ignoring and contributing to the problem, stating that it is merely a box-checking exercise and a disrespectful gesture towards the agents and the public. They questioned where she has been all this time."
In 2021, Harris assumed the role of vice president and the administration promptly reversed several Trump-era policies, including the attempt to impose a moratorium on deportations.
In March, Biden informed reporters that Harris would be responsible for addressing the root causes of migration, including climate change, poverty, and violence, which the administration believed were driving migrants north.
The media outlets and Republicans quickly labeled Harris as the "border czar" after she played a key role in addressing the crisis. However, the White House rejected this title, but she has become a figurehead alongside DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
"Although the border is secure, our immigration system, particularly during the past four years, needs to be fixed," Harris stated on NBC in 2022.
Over 2.4 million migrant encounters were recorded during fiscal year 2023, with December alone having nearly 250,000 encounters in a single month.
