Miranda Devine, a New York Post columnist and author, stated that President Biden's dishonesty about pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, is a fitting conclusion to his political career, as he is a man who "lies as easily as breathing" and is attempting to protect himself on his way out.

As Joe Biden exits office, his legacy is in shambles, according to Devine's statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.

President Biden had previously stated that he would not pardon his son, but on Sunday night, he reversed his decision and announced that it would apply to any offenses against the U.S. that Hunter Biden may have committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

"The Big Guy: How a President and His Son Sold Out America" by Devine did not surprise him, as he had already put a spotlight on corruption within the Biden family.

Devine stated that it is surprising that anyone is surprised about Joe Biden being a liar, as he has a history of lying and plagiarism. He was caught plagiarizing in college in 1965 and his presidential bid failed due to his plagiarism.

"She continued, "He lied about his knowledge of his son Hunter's overseas business dealings during the 2020 campaign. And so, it's fitting that he's lying on his way out of office about whether or not he was going to give Hunter a pardon."

Devine observed that a recent NBC News report indicated that Biden had discussed pardoning his son with some of his closest advisors since Hunter Biden's conviction in June. Although press secretary Jean-Pierre denied the report and stated that Biden made the decision over the weekend, Devine believed that the NBC News report aligned with the president's history.

Devine stated that the decision to deceive the American public about pardoning someone was intentional. Although there were various options for handling the situation, Devine admitted that lying comes naturally to him, making it instinctive to lie about something he was planning to do.

"Instead of following the norm and using vague language, he directly lied, she stated. This, she believes, is because he has constructed an image of himself as "Honest Joe," the opposite of Donald Trump."

Biden's return to the White House has sparked claims that he will restore decency, honesty, the rule of law, and the notion that "grown-ups" are back in the White House, indicating a problem with his truthfulness.

Devine stated that in reality, he is everything that he accuses Donald Trump of being.

In September, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to a separate felony tax case, but was later acquitted of all charges in a Delaware trial in June, including three felony firearm offenses.

Devine stated that the pardon, which has never been seen before in history and spans 11 years, covers all of the Ukraine and China grifts, particularly the Ukraine 2014 grift, which was a crucial year for Ukraine and the Hunter Biden influence peddling schemes.

The Maidan Revolution paved the way for Vice President Biden to head an Obama administration team aimed at eradicating corruption in Ukraine and promoting the country's independence from Russian oil.

"Months later, Hunter Biden was paid $1 million annually on the board of the most corrupt company in Ukraine," she stated about Burisma Holdings.

"Devine stated that Joe Biden was frequently flying to Kyiv to give lectures on the negative impact of corruption. He would often describe it as a cancer, but the Ukrainians were aware that his own son was receiving corrupt money. As a result, the pardon he issued covered up his own involvement in the issue."

Biden admitted that as vice president, he successfully pressured Ukraine to dismiss prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma Holdings at the time, where Hunter had a highly profitable board position and was receiving thousands of dollars per month.

Biden allies have maintained that Shokin was removed from his position due to his perceived leniency towards corruption.

Devine thinks that Biden is trying to prevent anyone from discovering his involvement in Hunter's business dealings with Burisma.

The White House referred to Biden's prior statement about his son's treatment due to his father's status when asked for comment on the pardon.

"The president stated that no reasonable person, upon examining the evidence of Hunter's cases, could arrive at any other conclusion except that he was targeted solely because he is the president's son, which is unjust. The president added that there has been an attempt to destroy Hunter, who has been sober for over five and a half years, despite constant attacks and selective prosecution. In an attempt to destroy Hunter, they have also tried to destroy the president, and there is no reason to believe that this will stop. The president declared that enough is enough."
