Media outcry is triggered by Trump's use of AI-generated images of Taylor Swift and her fans showing support for him.
The Trump campaign states that the 'Swifties for Trump' movement is expanding rapidly daily.
On Sunday, former President Trump shared images that appeared to show Taylor Swift and her fans supporting him, which sparked a significant media uproar.
Trump shared a collage of Swift-themed images on Truth Social, suggesting her support for him and his campaign. One image parodied Uncle Sam recruitment posters, depicting Swift in patriotic colors with the caption "Taylor Swift Supports Donald Trump." Above the images, he wrote, "I Accept!"
After ISIS foiled Taylor Swift's concert, some Swifties have turned to Trump.
"Trump spokesman Steven Cheung stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Swifties for Trump is a rapidly expanding movement, growing larger each day. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has caused immense harm to every American and is therefore guilty of wrongdoing."
A media uproar ensued after Trump's post suggested a Swift endorsement, which was later proven to be false.
"According to NBC News, Trump shared posts from his supporters promoting the "Swifties for Trump" movement, which lacks substantial evidence. The Daily Beast labeled it as part of a "Sunday meltdown" online. Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell stated on CNN that Trump made a mistake by attempting to provoke the Swifties."

Kamala Harris's liberal supporters, including "Swifties For Kamala," an X group with over 62,000 followers, were not happy with her actions.
Irene Kim, cofounder of Swifties4Harris, stated to WIRED that although we do not represent every Swiftie, there is a reason we do not require AI to show our support for Kamala.
Trump may have accepted a phantom endorsement from Swift or was referring to accepting support from any Swift fans.
Swift has not endorsed a candidate for president in 2024, but it is safe to assume she won't support Trump if she does. Previously criticized for appearing apolitical, Swift broke out in 2018 with endorsements of former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen and Democratic House candidate Jim Cooper.
In the Netflix documentary "Miss Americana," Swift revealed why she decided to enter the political arena with her post against Blackburn and how she deeply regretted not speaking out against Trump's successful 2016 presidential campaign, despite the potential backlash.
In 2020, Swift endorsed Biden and tweeted that Trump had stoked White supremacy and racism, stating "we will vote you out in November." She has also spoken out in favor of LGBTQ rights and criticized the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Neither the Harris campaign nor a Swift representative responded to requests for comment.
