Liz Cheney is not popular among many people, according to AOC.
AOC stated that while she does not love Cheney campaigning with Harris, it does not mean that they are not on the same team.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., expressed her disapproval of Kamala Harris' recent campaign strategy, which involves the vice president being joined by former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney at events.
On Monday, CNN host Kate Bolduan questioned AOC about Harris' comments praising Cheney as a "true patriot," asking if it could harm Democrats with left-wing voters. AOC responded, "There are many people who aren't happy with that, but it's part of the process of building a coalition."
She stated that although she doesn't love it, they are still on the same team and have the same understanding about who is the better candidate to win the presidential election.
According to media reports, some progressive Democrats have expressed dissatisfaction with Vice President Kamala Harris' decision to rely on Liz Cheney in the weeks leading up to the election, urging her to prioritize her own Democratic base.
Cheney, a Republican who opposes Trump, has frequently joined Harris on the campaign trail. Meanwhile, progressive leaders like Sanders have reportedly been given low-profile roles, according to the AP.
According to Sanders, there are more working-class people who could vote for Kamala Harris than there are conservative Republicans, as stated by the Associated Press.
