Karl Rove advises Democrats that Harris' narrow polling advantage is not enough: 'Not enough ahead'
Some poll aggregators show Trump slightly trailing Harris.
On Tuesday, political commentator Karl Rove cautioned Democrats that Vice President Harris's slim lead in recent polls might not be sufficient for her to overcome former President Trump in the upcoming election in November.
"In 2020, Joe Biden had a 7.1% lead over Donald Trump in the Real Clear Politics average, while in 2016, Hillary Clinton had a 6.3% advantage. The election ultimately came down to a small number of votes in a few key states, as Rove mentioned in an interview on Planet Chronicle' "America's Newsroom.""
According to some national polling aggregators, Harris is currently leading Trump, but her advantage is not as significant as Biden and Clinton's were during their campaigns against Trump in 2016 and 2020.
According to the Real Clear Politics polling average, Biden now leads Trump by 1.5 points nationally, a significant change from the previous day when Trump had a 3-point lead over Biden.
Julian Epstein, a Democratic strategist, responded to Rove's comments about Harris' campaign.
If the polling errors are as significant as they were in 2016 and 2020, Trump is currently leading, according to Epstein's previous statement to Planet Chronicle Digital.
He stated that individuals desire to understand the origin of a matter and to have sufficient information to grasp it completely.
"[Harris] needs to be more specific," he added.
A Politico report from last week indicates that recent polls conducted by Democratic firms show warning signs for Harris, including that Trump leads in certain characteristics that may sway voters. Additionally, the polls show that Harris is essentially tied with Trump in battleground states, meaning she is underperforming her national numbers in states that will decide the election.
