Kamala Harris has been the presumptive and official Democratic nominee for president for 85 days without holding an official press conference.

Since August, Trump has conducted six news conferences with the media, the most recent being held after meeting with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp regarding hurricane relief efforts.

Earlier this month, President Biden held a news conference in the White House press briefing room and joked about running for president again in 2024.

In recent weeks, Harris has increased her interviews, featuring radio hits, a solo interview with a Philadelphia TV station, and friendly appearances with "The View," Stephen Colbert, and Howard Stern.

It's uncertain if she will ever hold a formal press conference as a candidate, as long as she remains a candidate.

Jorge Bonilla, a host on Conservative Radio Libre, believes that Harris should hold a press conference but considers it almost "irrelevant" because she consistently receives a free pass.

Bonilla stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that she is unlikely to hold a press conference because the media has facilitated and supported her "plexiglass basement" strategy, which maintains the illusion of being accessible while remaining inaccessible to the press and thus unaccountable.

During her interview in Philadelphia, her response about her economic policy, which referenced her middle-class background, received severe criticism.

She stated, "Growing up in a neighborhood of proud lawn owners instilled in me the belief that all people deserve dignity and that we as Americans possess a beautiful character. Despite our aspirations and ambitions, not everyone has equal access to the resources necessary to achieve their dreams."

"When discussing the concept of an opportunity economy, I have in mind investing in the dreams and determination of the American people and providing them with the chance to launch their own businesses."
