Joy Reid of MSNBC accuses MAGA Republicans of inciting "actual violence" following the Trump assassination attempt.
Republicans were accused of inspiring bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio by MSNBC's Joy Reid.
After another assassination attempt against former President Trump, Joy Reid on MSNBC accused Republicans of being responsible for "real violence."
JD Vance was criticized by Reid for promoting "literal terrorism" through unfounded accusations about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio.
In a conversation with David Rothkopf from The Daily Beast, she contended that MAGA Republicans were responsible for inciting more violence, pointing to several bomb threats directed at Springfield in recent days.
Reid stated that the actual violence seen comes disproportionately from MAGA supporters, including the January 6th riot, threats to election workers, and bomb threats to schools in Springfield. Despite this, they try to depict Haitian immigrants as the ones to fear.
Prior to the show, Republican Ohio Governor Mike DeWine disclosed at a press conference that all 33 bomb threats received were false alarms originating from outside the US.
""We cannot let the bad guys win. Our schools must remain open. These threats have all been hoaxes, and none of them have panned out. Unfortunately, some of them are coming from overseas. We think that this is one more opportunity to mess with the United States, and they're continuing to do that," DeWine said."
MSNBC did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for a comment.
Despite accusing conservatives of "stochastic terrorism," Reid did not mention any liberal rhetoric that could have led to the second Trump assassination attempt in two months. Trump is often depicted as a threat to democracy and the country's future by his opponents.
She criticized Trump for accusing Democrats of using "highly inflammatory language" and not modifying his "rhetoric."
Reid stated that he has now attributed the latest assassination attempt to Biden and Harris's rhetoric, asserting that he will save the country. This is his response to the recent events that have affected him, similar to his reaction when he was shot at in Pennsylvania, despite the assailant being a supporter of his and a Republican. Additionally, his allies, such as Elon Musk, are supposedly joking about the assassination attempt, which Reid then dismissed as a joke.
Despite Reid's assertion that Thomas Crooks, the attempted Trump assassin, was a supporter of the former president, Crooks was actually a registered Republican but also made a donation to ActBlue, a platform that supports Democrats.
Despite being a victim of attempted gun violence, Donald Trump continues to use rhetoric that subjects others to violent threats, as seen in his recent "I hate Taylor Swift" post.
Numerous other news sources have tried to connect Trump's language to his assassination attempt.
