John Kirby questioned the lack of information regarding the New Jersey drone sightings: "Why are we in the dark?"
Kirby vows to be truthful to the American public.
The White House National Security Communications Advisor, John Kirby, stated that the government is still unable to provide clear answers about the reported drone sightings, which has led to growing public frustration.
"Kirby stated on "The Story" that many of the corroborated sightings were piloted aircraft, but he did not claim all of them. He added that they were only able to corroborate those sightings. However, there are still sightings that they have not been able to verify, and they do not have an answer to it. Kirby recommended that people who see and document these sightings share them with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI."
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy wrote to President Biden in a Wednesday letter, requesting more federal resources to tackle drone sightings, as the federal law restricts the capacity of state and local law enforcement to combat drones.
""The increasing reports of UAS activity have led to a rise in conspiracy theories and prompted the need for more resources to understand the underlying causes," Murphy wrote."
Kirby stated that the reported drone sightings may be linked to a private company, as they "could very well be" commercially developed drones.
"Kirby stated that they are working diligently to determine the reason for not having an answer on the 13th of December in the afternoon, as they understand the importance of answering questions like those in New Jersey."
Kirby disclosed that there was an inter-agency conversation Friday morning about the topic.
He announced that we would use more technology and hire more staff in New Jersey to better understand these things.
Sheriff Shaun Golden of Monmouth County, N.J., called for a state of emergency declaration over drone sightings and released a heat map showing the concentration of drones spotted in his county on Wednesday evening.
On Monday night, Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., who represents parts of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, spent time on a beach and conversed with several people, including a U.S. Coast Guard officer based in Barnegat Light.
The previous night, more than a dozen drones closely followed a 47-foot Coast Guard vessel, as stated by the commander.
Numerous military bases are located in Monmouth and Burlington Counties, including Naval Weapons Station Earle and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
On Thursday, Mayor Tony Perry of Middletown, N.J., voiced his "concerns" to Planet Chronicle about the drone sightings near Naval Weapons Station Earle's waterfront site in his town, which is 14 miles north of the Colts Neck installation.
"Kirby stated that he would not deceive either the public or the American people, and he would not claim to know something when they did not. He emphasized that they would never stoop to consider an American citizen as insane or crazy based on their observations and documentation. They are taking the imagery seriously and are doing their best to analyze it. Kirby encouraged people to come forward with additional sightings and imagery."
