Jill Biden's legacy is what Nancy Pelosi's daughter is urging her to focus on.
Pelosi's daughter claims that 'few Americans have anything positive to say about Joe Biden.'
Alexandra Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi's daughter, urged Jill Biden to consider President Biden's legacy.
"The former speaker's daughter stated in a Politico column that if she were Lady McBiden, she would put on her big girl pants, play the long game, and consider her husband's legacy. She emphasized that her statement was only her own opinion and not representative of everyone in America. The daughter also noted that there are not many people who have something positive to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of the few who do."
Nancy Pelosi attempted to communicate with the president after his July decision to withdraw from the race, but consistently received the same response from the president's top advisors: "The answer is no," as reported in a Politico column.
In July, Nancy Pelosi appeared on "Morning Joe" and stated that it was up to the president to decide whether he would run for re-election, despite Biden's repeated assurances that he would remain in the race during calls with Democrats and donors.
The president's media appearance was viewed as an opportunity to withdraw from the race, which he eventually did.
Pelosi suggested that Biden should have dropped out sooner after losing the election to Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden has since regretted dropping out and believes he could have defeated Trump.
A source close to the communication between Pelosi and Biden's advisors revealed to Politico that she was informed that they are still not over it and should refrain from making further advances because he is accusing her.
In a Jan. 15 exit interview with the Washington Post, first lady Jill Biden expressed disappointment with Nancy Pelosi for her part in persuading Biden to abandon his presidential bid.
"The first lady expressed disappointment as she shared that they had been friends for 50 years and it had been on her mind a lot lately."
She said she was disappointed with how it unfolded but expressed confidence in her husband's ability to serve another term.
Neither the first lady's office nor Nancy Pelosi's former House Speaker's office responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
