'Jenifer Lewis of 'Black-ish' criticizes Black and Latino men for supporting Trump: "This motherf---er is Hitler"'
A well-known actress asserted that significant voting groups were fixated on "maintaining women's subordination."
During a recent interview, "Black-ish" star Jenifer Lewis criticized Black and Latino men for not voting for Vice President Kamala Harris, adding to the growing list of Hollywood stars who have spoken out since President-elect Donald Trump's victory last month.
According to Lewis, 67, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, they did not vote for her because of her gender.
"Despite her intelligence, education, beauty, kindness, joyfulness, and fearlessness, they disregarded her and prioritized keeping women subordinate."
Breitbart published a detailed analysis of the actress's interview over the weekend, focusing on her controversial remarks about both groups voting for Trump out of self-loathing. The article also predicted that Trump would use the military to shoot Black men in the streets if he is reelected.
"She claimed that they voted for Trump because they hate themselves and see the MAGA movement as powerful, with the belief that he would move mountains for them and make them rich. Unfortunately, Black men, she said, desire a man and are voting for Trump."
The remarks made by Lewis have added her to a list of notable figures who have attributed Harris' loss to discrimination, specifically racism, misogyny, or self-loathing, alongside CNN's David Axelrod, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, "Squad" member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and the co-hosts of "The View."
On the left, it is argued that Harris' defeat was due to a poorly managed campaign and a "woke," "out of touch" mindset that is now said to have infected the Democratic Party.
In the previous election, Trump made progress among Black and Hispanic voters, potentially allowing him to secure victories in swing states and weaken the "Blue Wall" by winning Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, as reported by the Associated Press.
Lewis warned the voting blocs that their decision to support Trump would lead to regret.
If your niece and daughter are raped by your alcoholic brother or neighbor, and she attempts to abort the resulting baby from the rape, you will regret your actions.
""You have taken away all their rights, and now you have made a mistake!" she said shortly after."
Ruby Johnson, a renowned actress known as the "Black mother of Hollywood," played the outspoken matriarch in the ABC sitcom "Black-ish." She also lent her voice to Mama Odie in the beloved Disney animated film "The Princess and the Frog," and has appeared in numerous other films and TV shows.
During the 2024 election, Trump gained support among traditionally blue voting groups, including young voters and Arab Americans.
