JD Vance's debate performance impresses Michigan voters: 'He spoke the truth'
Early morning viewership for 'Fox & Friends' surged following the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate on Tuesday night.
In Michigan, voters commended Sen. JD Vance for his impressive debate showing against Gov. Tim Walz.
Lawrence Jones of "Fox & Friends" reported that a voter wearing a MAGA hat said the event went well and Vance performed admirably, maintaining his composure and speaking truthfully.
After the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate on Tuesday night, Jones went to Steak ‘N Egger restaurant in Muskegon and observed that many viewers believed Vance had the upper hand over Walz.
One voter stated that Walz performed poorly in several aspects, but he is truthful and straightforward. Despite his lack of knowledge, he acknowledged it.
Another voter said Walz appeared "too nervous."
"Vance knows the topics better than Walz, who is phony and too plastic."
Despite the criticism of Walz's performance, a few voters at the diner defended him and claimed that he won the only debate showdown with his opponent.
"Walz is very articulate and knows his facts," one woman said. "JD Vance totally switched the script last night. He told untruths and flipped the switch. He lied throughout the entire debate last night. What he said was untrue – his stance on abortion, housing, and finance were all not true."
The senator's experience on public stages may have influenced the number of voters and pundits who gave him the win, as conceded by the woman.
The debate on Tuesday discussed various topics including immigration, climate change, and abortion as the two lesser-known politicians aimed to introduce themselves to American voters prior to Election Day.
One Michigan voter said she is voting for Vice President Kamala Harris because she likes the idea that "we get to vote every four years instead of, 'if you vote me in, you won't ever have to vote again.'"
Another woman expressed her backing for Trump, citing his support for America, herself, and unborn children.
"If you support those who cannot defend themselves, then you support the rest of us. Conversely, if you disregard those who cannot defend themselves, you will not be in charge of us or care for us."
