JD Vance criticizes Kamala Harris for inconsistency during CNN interview: "It's crucial not to be deceived by this."
Vance confessed to feeling 'bad' while observing Harris struggle during her first televised interview as the Democratic presidential candidate.
JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential candidate, cautioned Americans against accepting Kamala Harris' policy proposals during her first interview since announcing her 2024 presidential campaign, as critics claim she frequently changes her stance on crucial issues.
During the CNN interview on "Fox & Friends," Vance criticized Harris' moderate stance, claiming it was merely a tactic to gain more votes in the upcoming November election.
"On Friday, Vance stated that he believes it is crucial for us not to purchase the item. He argued that Kamala Harris has governed as a far-left individual, despite her recent attempts to present herself as more moderate in order to win over voters. Vance predicted that if Harris is successful in her efforts, she will continue to govern in the same manner as she has in the past few years."
Vance accused Harris of "flip-flopping" on various issues, predicting that Americans would face a higher cost of living, an open border, and a more dangerous world under her administration.
Kamala Harris' statement that she doesn't actually believe in the things she said she believed three years ago is absurd, as she has governed as someone who does believe those things, and unfortunately, the American people are far off because of it.
Since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee, Harris has not given an interview in 39 days. She has mostly shied away from the media, answering media questions only occasionally while on the campaign trail and not holding any press conferences.
On Thursday, CNN's Dana Bash interviewed Harris and Walz in a pre-taped interview that aired on the network.
Despite critics claiming otherwise on several notable issues, she maintained during the interview that her values have not changed.
Why have you changed your mind on every topic you previously held an opinion on, even though you still have the same values? Vance questioned.
"He contended that she should have to endure difficult inquiries regarding her change of mind, while I believe she addressed one such question yesterday. However, her response was unclear and did not provide Americans with a clear understanding of Kamala Harris' true character."
Vance accused the press of aiding Harris by avoiding pressing her on issues where she has shown inconsistency in her positions.
"Kamala Harris has allegedly changed her mind on eight different topics, but the media is so eager to let her get away with it that they don't even challenge her on it," Vance said. "The proof is in the pudding. Harris has claimed to have changed her mind on American energy, police, and immigration, among other things."
The sitting vice president of the United States is she. If she has changed her mind, why doesn't she implement these policies now and improve the lives of Americans? I believe she doesn't truly believe it, which is why she's not showing it in her actions.
Vance confessed that he felt "bad" for her following the interview, as she appeared uncertain about her own policy views.
"Vance stated that it was evident that she lacked strong convictions. Despite running against her, he felt a pang of sympathy for her because it was clear that she was unsure and uncertain about her statements. He added that she had been trained to feign moderation."
"Unfortunately, as a San Francisco liberal, she has led Americans to poverty, chaos, and an open border. To change direction, we must elect Donald Trump."
