JD Vance claims that Democrats misrepresented his "childless cat lady" remark by taking it out of context: "Lie of the left."
Democrats were criticized by Vance for their 'family-unfriendly' and 'child-unfriendly' views.
Democrats were accused by Sen. JD Vance of taking his remark about "childless cat ladies" running the country out of context in their latest attack.
"According to the speaker, the Democrats have attempted to distort and exaggerate the context of what he said, which is a common tactic they use because they lack a strong agenda of their own."
In the 2021 interview, Vance stated that the country is being run by a group of unhappy, childless women who are unhappy with their own lives and the choices they have made, and they want to make the rest of the country as miserable as they are.
He also mentioned Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as prominent left-wing figures.
The Ohio senator and Trump running mate faced criticism from Hillary Clinton, Jennifer Aniston, and the Harris campaign for allegedly undervaluing women who cannot have children.
He clarified his intent on Sunday.
"The American people are not concerned about an out-of-context quip made three years ago. Instead, they are focused on Kamala Harris's decision to open the southern border and the Democratic Party's anti-family policies," he stated.
Kamala Harris recently discussed in a surfaced clip how climate change anxiety makes having kids a bad idea. Despite this, it's crucial for us to be pro-family as a country. While it may not work out for everyone, we should pray for those people and have sympathy for them. Nonetheless, we should generally support families as a party.
Vance stated that he believes being a parent has a "profound" impact on one's perspective and criticized Democrats for allegedly promoting anti-child and anti-family rhetoric.
"The speaker stated that there are many individuals who do not have children for various reasons, and they are all valuable members of society. He emphasized that this is not a criticism of everyone without children, but rather a critique of the left's growing anti-parent and anti-child sentiment."
