Jake Tapper of CNN cautions about the rise of "deepfakes and misinformation."
Van Jones of CNN noted that the leading tech CEOs backed the Democratic Party in the previous election.
During his inauguration, President Trump's Big Tech presence was accompanied by a warning from CNN's Jake Tapper that the country was entering an "era of deepfakes and all sorts of disinformation."
The era of deepfakes and misinformation is about to begin, and the role of the five gentlemen will determine the American people's understanding of truth and falsehood four years from now.
The tech giants, including Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Elon Musk of Tesla, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Tim Cook of Apple, and Sundar Pichai of Google, were present at the inauguration.
Tapper stated that the five individuals have a significant amount of control over the information we receive, and they hold a great deal of power when it comes to determining what is real and what is not.
CNN's Anderson Cooper extended Tapper's warning to the entire world.
He stated that the control of information is not limited to the United States, but rather involves all human beings worldwide. These individuals serve as gatekeepers to information for the entire planet.
Van Jones of CNN remarked on the historical significance of the images depicting the five tech executives and pointed out that they had previously supported the Democratic Party.
"That picture will be historic, I call it the revenge of the nerds. Four years ago, those four gentlemen were supporting the Democratic Party," he said.
The Democrats lost control of the White House, Senate, House, and Silicon Valley four years ago, and now all four are in the hands of Donald Trump, according to Jones. He argues that the Biden administration pushed them away by not introducing cryptocurrency regulations and by promoting the idea that all big business is bad.
"Elon Musk was once an Andrew Yang Democrat, but when Joe Biden hosted an EV summit, he was left out. The Biden Administration made numerous unforced errors, and Jones lamented that four key individuals were pushed out of the party due to the lack of an innovation-first approach from the White House. As a result, the party lost the White House, the House, the Senate, and Silicon Valley. Jones blamed the party for the losses."
At the start of January, Zuckerberg declared the conclusion of Facebook and Instagram's fact-checking initiative and stated that they would adopt a system akin to X's community notes.
