In his final interview with MSNBC, Lawrence O'Donnell praises Biden's accomplishments, calling them "like a magic trick."
Biden's approach to combining domestic and foreign policy has been unique, as O'Donnell pointed out in a recent interview.
Lawrence O'Donnell commended President Biden for his accomplishments during his time in office, specifically for signing the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill into law.
"In his final interview, O'Donnell told Biden that he had predicted he would never pass an infrastructure bill due to the small Senate majority. Despite his experience in the Senate, he found it impossible to achieve. He still finds it astonishing how Biden managed to pull it off."
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, signed into law on Nov. 15, 2021, has allocated billions of dollars towards environmental initiatives, such as promoting clean energy through public transportation and environmental cleanup.
Biden stated, "The argument I presented to the congressmen and senators who were present was: How can you lead the world without having the most advanced infrastructure?"
Biden was told by O'Donnell that he combined domestic and foreign policy in a unique way that no other president has done.
"In order to implement our foreign policy effectively, we must have a strong economic position. As one of the most informed individuals, I urge you to consider this. If we don't lead the world, who will?" Biden stated.
"I don't mean to dominate, but rather to lead the world on fundamental principles like the UN charter. Who has the capacity to do this? We possess the size, scope, ability, and technology. We just need to get back in the game. That's all I've done."
Biden was praised by O'Donnell for his expertise in both foreign and domestic policy, with his time in office being marked by a significant number of domestic accomplishments.
O'Donnell has consistently defended Biden and Harris in the media, criticizing journalists for being too harsh on White House press secretary Jean-Pierre.
