In a CNN interview, Bill Maher criticized flip flops worn by Harris and Walz, stating that it was an insult to his intelligence.
Dana Bash was found guilty by the host on the topic of fracking.
Bill Maher, the host of "Real Time," expressed mixed reactions about Vice President Kamala Harris' CNN interview, offering both praise and criticism for the Democratic nominee.
""I thought she did great. I thought she did fine," Maher began the panel discussion Friday night. "I don't know why we ever thought she was as bad as people thought she was. It was like Biden had that one bad night, she had a bad three years," Maher said."
Maher accused both Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, of insulting his intelligence by evading certain topics during the interview. The host also criticized Walz's communication style, stating that he speaks like a normal person.
"No, you're not. You're a huge liar, just like all politicians are," Maher responded. "I don't care what you did during the Iraq War. You were in the Guard- I don't understand why they can't just-" he cut off.
The host added, "They're just insulting my intelligence."
"When CNN anchor Dana Bash asked what Maher thought when Biden called him and said he wasn't running, Maher replied, 'Well, I immediately thought of him first,' while rolling his eyes. 'I mean, fracking... Dana Bash had her dead to rights. It was like, "You said this, I have the quote. I'm reading it to you. You said there should be a ban on fracking." Why can't they just go, "Yeah, you know what? I got it wrong."'"
The HBO host praised Harris for not responding to Trump's race comments.
"Maher exclaimed, "That was just so great!" In response, Dana said, "That's it? That's all you're getting?""
Harris' messaging about finding a "new way forward" has left Maher puzzled.
Maher remarked, "It's quite unusual to make that statement while being part of the current administration."
He frequently ridiculed the interview format with Harris and her "emotional support VP."
During his opening monologue, Maher joked that it was a bit strange to see him sitting quietly for an extended period without speaking, while she did most of the talking. The women's focus groups concluded that he must be an excellent husband.
Maher later remarked that the Democratic ticket resembled "when Dad comes along" to assist a young woman in purchasing a car.
Maher joked, "Perhaps that's the plan. They resemble a married couple. They resemble every interracial couple in every advertisement."
