In 2024, Trump won the election fairly and without any outside interference, according to Bill Clinton.
According to Clinton, he won it, and there are numerous reasons why.
Bill Clinton stated on Wednesday that Trump won the 2024 election fairly, in contrast to what he still considers an illegitimate outcome in 2016.
"This time, Donald Trump won the race fairly," Clinton said on "The View."
During an interview on the ABC talk show, the former president was reminded by co-host Joy Behar that he had written in his memoir that he was so furious about his wife Hillary Clinton's defeat in 2016 that he couldn't get any rest.
"What's going to happen now that Trump has defeated Vice President Kamala Harris?"
"I'm sleeping better now because I did everything I could for the alternative," he said. "However, I believe it's crucial for everyone to take a deep breath and acknowledge that, unlike in 2016, there was no outside interference from the FBI Director, which violated 70 years of policy and resulted in a 5% change in polling overnight."
The investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server was reopened by FBI Director James Comey in late October 2016, and the Clintons have consistently attributed their defeat to Trump to this development.
Despite Comey's letter to Congress about the investigation, experts predicted that Hillary Clinton would defeat Trump in the election that year, even though President Clinton had never seen such a rapid polling shift in his lifetime.
"Anyone who claims they didn't give Trump the election needs to --" he said Monday, trailing off.
In the 2016 election, Clinton believed Trump had won fairly, but later realized his victory was illegitimate.
He stated that he is not like Trump, as he requires evidence to make a charge, and based on his knowledge, Trump won the election, and there are numerous reasons why.
The ex-president urged the party to maintain a peaceful transition of power and cooperate with Trump and the Republicans whenever feasible.
""Although they often jam us, I believe it's a mistake to just jam them back," he stated."
Before becoming president in 1992, Clinton served as governor of Arkansas and managed to unite both rural and urban voters. However, in recent years, rural and working-class voters have largely abandoned the Democratic Party.
Clinton stated that Democrats often dismiss certain groups based on demographics and predicted support when asked about regaining that portion of the voting base on the show.
He suggested that we should stop shouting and instead hear one another out.
