Sarah Huckabee Sanders criticized Kamala Harris for conducting her first formal presidential interview with her running mate on a friendly network.

""Fox & Friends" reported that Kamala Harris lacks the confidence to lead the free world as she struggles to complete an interview on her own."

On Tuesday, CNN announced that anchor Dana Bash would be conducting a joint interview with Harris and Walz, which will be aired on Thursday evening.

Since President Biden stepped out of the race on July 21, Harris has not given a formal interview to the press. Despite facing no opposition, she won the nomination without earning any primary voters' support.

As President Trump's second press secretary, Sanders stated that the move appeared to be an acknowledgement by Harris' team that she was not ready to conduct an interview on her own.

"Huckabee Sanders stated that the interview was not difficult, but it was being broadcast on CNN, one of their media allies. She urged the vice presidential nominee to handle tough questions and show the American people her capabilities. Sanders pointed out that her own party and team believed she needed a babysitter, which was why they put her nominee on stage to answer questions in case things went wrong, as they had in previous interviews."

After a "disastrous" interview with NBC's Lester Holt in 2021, where she struggled to explain the Biden-Harris administration's strategy for securing the border, Vice President Harris avoided media interviews for nearly a year, according to a New York Times report.

According to the Times, White House officials, including those in her own office, observed that she spent about a year in seclusion, avoiding interviews due to a perceived fear of making mistakes and disappointing Mr. Biden.

Sanders stated on "Fox & Friends" that the difference between Harris and her previous boss is "stark."

The contrast between the two candidates is stark. Trump has a track record of success, including leading on issues such as building a strong economy, securing our borders, and maintaining a strong presence on the global stage. In contrast, Harris has been part of an administration that has failed, with many notable failures occurring in the last four years. She must take responsibility for these failures and cannot avoid them. Even prominent Democrats are not confident in her ability to lead the country.

This month, former Democrats Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard endorsed Trump for president and joined his transition team.

Even former Democrats believe that Harris is not capable of leading the country, according to Sanders.

"She was the laughingstock of the Biden administration a few months ago, and now the hypocrisy is so unbelievable. They want us to believe that they truly think she can take this job on," she said.

"The fact that she is not allowed to conduct an interview alone indicates that she is not prepared to lead the country. On the other hand, Donald Trump has demonstrated his ability to lead, as evidenced by his successful campaign. Even prominent Democrats recognize this and have joined forces with him. This coalition will likely help Trump win in November."
