Howard Stern expresses his dislike for anyone who supports Trump, stating that they are "stupid" and he has "no respect" for them.
Stern stated that he concurs with those drawing parallels between Trump and Hitler.
Howard Stern, a SiriusXM radio host, stated on Monday that he does not hate former President Trump, but rather those who support him.
Over the weekend, Stern discussed Trump's "I hate Taylor Swift" post on Truth Social and shared his own experience of being the victim of the "good or bad" mentality.
"On "The Howard Stern Show," he stated that he disagrees politically with Trump and believes he should not be near the White House. He clarified that he does not hate Trump personally but rather the individuals who support him, whom he considers to be unintelligent. Additionally, he admitted that he has no respect for Trump."
The radio shock jock stated that he is not bothered by losing "half of his listeners" who hold opposing political views, and he expects to receive "hate mail" from those who support Trump. Additionally, he criticized celebrities at the 2024 Emmy Awards for not speaking out against the GOP nominee during the awards ceremony on Sunday night.
"You can't be a coward your entire life," Stern said.
During the show, a guest caller from Michigan drew a comparison between Trump's language regarding immigrants and Hitler's words about Jews during the Holocaust.
"I completely concur with your viewpoint," Stern stated. "This is a familiar script. We've seen it play out in history before."
"Hitler was viewed as a buffoon in Germany, but somehow he managed to win an election, leading the country through a period of suffering."
"This election feels like a pre-World War II replay," Stern stated. "I am among those who believe that if the election doesn't go my way, it's the end of the United States."
Stern stated that he believed the phones on his show would be flooded with individuals seeking to criticize his political stance, asserting that he had no obligation to provide them with airtime because "I'm simply smarter than you."
Three days after the former president faced a second assassination attempt, his comment was made. The first attempt resulted in the death of firefighter Corey Comperatore, a Trump supporter who was at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when shots rang out.
Trump accused the left of using "dangerous rhetoric" to portray him as a threat to democracy, which he claims is responsible for the threats on his life, in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital on Monday.
Stern's dislike for Trump voters is not new. He previously expressed a similar sentiment before the 2020 election, stating, "I don’t hate Donald. I hate you for voting for him, for not having intelligence. For not being able to see what's going on with the coronavirus, for not being able to see what the Justice Department is doing. I hate you. I don’t want you here."
Recently, Stern has been accused of being "woke," which he considers a "compliment" because he is not in favor of "stupidity."
Stern stated last year that being "asleep" is the opposite of being "woke," which he believes means not supporting Trump, being transgender, or being pro-vaccine.
