How much of it was just political correctness?

Is it not strange that after winning, he is no longer being labeled a threat to democracy by those who called him one?

President-elect Donald Trump's critics have shifted their tone from warning of the end of democracy to respecting his legitimate victory, as observed by radio host Charlamagne Tha God.

"I'm glad everyone is optimistic, but the truth is we have no choice because we're here now. Donald J. Trump will be the 47th President of the United States of America, whether we like it or not, and we all hope for the best for this country," Charlamagne tha God said.

Charlamagne remarked that it is strange how now that he has won, he is no longer being called a threat to democracy or a fascist. He pointed out that on Monday, he was being referred to as such.

If you truly believe that, then someone's speech would be about how America has made mistakes and things are about to get worse. It's just puzzling how much of it they really believed or if it was just politics.

Biden congratulated Trump on his victory and assured that his entire administration would work to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition. He emphasized the importance of unity and spoke about political campaigns as a "contest of competing visions" that the country chooses between.

Biden's rhetoric about Trump and his supporters being a threat to democracy or "garbage" was in stark contrast to his final weeks of the election campaign, where he called for Trump to be locked up "politically" as he campaigned for Harris.

On Thursday, Planet Chronicle senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich questioned White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the change in rhetoric from Biden, recalling that "this administration messaged to millions of Americans that they're going to wake up the day after the election if Trump won and have their rights stripped away, that democracy would crumble. And the president said today, 'We're going to be OK,' So how do you square that?"

Jean-Pierre eventually snapped and declared, "This is completely unfair. I've been trying to be respectful about what happened the past two nights, but you're just twisting everything around."
