Hollywood director calls for abandoning the Democratic Party after Trump victory.
Democratic leadership is criticized by Adam McKay for their handling of Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race, the Gaza conflict, and other issues.
""I am considering switching to the Green Party or Working Families, but I am open to suggestions," McKay wrote on X."
The Democratic Party was criticized by the director for its missteps leading up to Election Day, including the handling of President Biden's decision to step aside for Vice President Kamala Harris on the ticket.
"It's astonishing that lying about Biden's cognitive health for two years, refusing to hold an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare, embracing fracking, the Cheneys, and a year-long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn't be a winning strategy," he said.

McKay stated in an interview with The Associated Press that climate change is "extremely alarming, extremely frightening, and quickly becoming the only thing I’m thinking about on a daily basis, even as I’m writing scripts and directing or producing."
Actress Christina Applegate repeatedly asked "why?" on X.
"What are your reasons for disagreeing with me? If you do not agree, please unfollow me."
Ariana Grande wrote in a caption that she was holding the hand of every person feeling the immeasurable heaviness of the outcome today.
Harris Bradley Whitford, who plays West Wing character White Dude, told the U.K. Independent that he "absolutely" believed Harris would win.
"He explained that he believed it would be closer, but whenever his friends inquired, he would conclude, "You can never underestimate how racist and sexist this country is.""
In the days leading up to the election, Harris received high-profile endorsements from Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Harrison Ford, and other celebrities who revealed they'd voted for her on Election Day.
Trump's campaign was backed by a long list of stars who cheered his decisive win.
"Despite our differences, we share more in common than we do apart, as Hulk Hogan wrote on Instagram. This election season has shown how much we care about the direction of our country. Now that the votes have been counted, let's remember that, regardless of our political affiliations, we are all Americans. It's time to put aside our differences and have conversations with those around us about what unites us. We all love our country and are committed to building a better future. Love you all. HH."
On Wednesday, Harris delivered her concession speech at Howard University after congratulating Trump on a phone call ahead.
