Harris criticized for using "word salad" to inform LA wildfire victims about the importance of patience.
One response stated that it is not their fault and to wait a week before blaming Trump.
Californians struggling with ongoing fires were left confused by Vice President Kamala Harris' consolation message on Monday.
During a briefing, President Biden, Harris, and White House officials discussed the federal response to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, which have affected many people, including celebrities, who have lost their homes in the Pacific Palisades area. The wildfires have burned over 27,000 acres, destroyed over 10,000 structures, and claimed the lives of at least 25 people, according to local officials.
Amidst the chaos, Harris emphasized the importance of patience for her fellow Californians.
"Many individuals who still have a residence and are under evacuation orders are eager to return home, but it is crucial to exercise patience during this time," she stated. "The ongoing efforts of firefighters, police officers, FEMA, and others in search and rescue operations are still necessary. Additionally, the work required to ensure the safety of utility lines is still in progress."
She offered a confusing statement, often referred to as one of her trademark "word salads," to those affected by the fires, emphasizing the importance of patience in the crisis.
Her statement was quickly skewered across social media.
Brent Bozell, President of the Media Research Center, stated, "It's alarming to consider how Kamala would have handled the American people if she treated her home state supporters in the same manner."
Jenna Ellis, senior policy advisor at the American Family Association, stated that there were no thoughts, only a jumbled mess of words.
New Jersey assemblyman John Azzariti exclaimed, "We really dodged a bullet!"
The most important thing to pack when fleeing a fire is patience, according to Margot Cleveland, the senior legal correspondent for The Federalist.
Miranda Devine, a gifted communicator, sarcastically quipped, "Such sage advice."
Joel Pollak of Breitbart rephrased her statement as: "It's not our fault! After a week, you can blame Trump."
Scott Adams, a cartoonist, stated that Harris believes the wildfires in California are not due to poor management of fire risk by Democrats.
"What are the true issues, and how can we address them? Will there be consequences for those who contribute to climate change and cause impatience among citizens, so that we can prevent similar problems from arising in the future?"
Deb Heine of American Greatness stated that the woman's use of a confusing word salad is an attempt to convey the importance of patience for LA residents in dealing with the incompetence and stupidity of CA Democrats, and to separate the ongoing disaster from their woke, destructive policies.
The backlash against California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and other local officials for their inadequate preparation and response to the wildfires in California has intensified as the fires continue to cause destruction in the area.
