Harris criticized by Jones for allowing Democrats to avoid responsibility in Washington DC.
Democrats have rejected their reformers, according to Jones, while the GOP has embraced theirs, leading to a reckoning within the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party was criticized by former Obama adviser Van Jones for a string of blunders that resulted in their political defeat at the hands of the Republican Party.
At the Dealbook Summit on Wednesday, former Obama advisor Van Jones shifted his stance on Kamala Harris, praising her for making her campaign "about freedom" and "remolding" the Democratic Party, but now that she and the Democratic Party have suffered a series of losses, his approach has changed.
""Kamala Harris promised freedom, but instead of running anything in Washington DC, we're now free from it. This wasn't what we signed up for, it's what we got," Jones said."
He argued that the Republican and Democratic parties have taken drastically different approaches to their dissidents.
"I hope the party recognize the fact that we expelled all our rebels from this party. We had a rebellion in our party in 2016, it was called Bernie Sanders. You had a rebellion in your party in 2016, it was called Donald Trump. Your rebel won, our rebel lost, and since then the rebels in our party have been pushed out," he said.
A list of high-profile figures who have aligned themselves with the MAGA movement due to their alienation from Democratic Party politics was then provided by him.
"The DNC pushed out RFK, Elon Musk, and Joe Rogan, all of whom were rebels within the party. This trend suggests that the party no longer welcomes dissenting voices, and we must address this issue honestly."
The commentator, who was once an adviser, commended President Biden despite suggesting that he should have passed the leadership on earlier.
"Joe Biden picked me out of the puppy pile and gave me a chance to work with you guys, but he should have walked away and let other people in this party step up to the bat, instead we paid the price."
