Haitian migrants overrun rural town, causing chaos on roads, says Springfield resident.

Mark Sanders, a resident of Springfield, Ohio, explained on Thursday how the large influx of illegal immigrants has had a devastating impact on his community's small population.

Over the past two years, Springfield has experienced a housing, jobs, and healthcare crisis due to the influx of approximately 30,000 Haitians.

He claims that the roads are in a state of chaos, similar to the movie "Escape from New York," where drivers are unsure if they will reach their destination safely.

"Sanders stated on "Jesse Waters Primetime" that long-time renters have been relocated from their homes, which they've occupied for many years. Landlords, both American and Haitian, have accepted high offers and turned these homes into dormitories. Greed is driving the actions of both parties."

Our temporary staffing service is likely employing about 95% of those who have arrived here and are working. However, not everyone is working, and some people may say that not everyone is. Despite this, our staffing service owns 63 homes that are used as dormitories and transports the workers to and from their jobs. The service takes a portion of their checks, charges them for transportation and lodging costs.

Residents say auto wrecks have also spiked since migrants arrived.

In Springfield last year, a Haitian migrant without a valid driver's license caused a school bus crash, resulting in dozens of injuries and the death of a boy.

Sanders claims that Springfield residents are not "anti-immigrant," but rather they seek to ensure the town's safety and provide necessary resources for its residents.

""What we are is a city that only wants our safety, security, and sovereignty back," Sanders said."

The incident that occurred a year ago resulted in total upheaval because of it. Our food pantries were stripped, and our federally funded clinic, Rocking Horse, had its budget decimated. In Haitian, clinic means hospital, and our emergency rooms were overrun.

"Of course, nobody is being compensated unless they have checked in with the Health department and qualified for Medicaid," he stated. "Our roads are like a scene from 'Escape from New York' with everyone feeling like Snake Plissken. You never know if you'll make it from point A to point B without getting run over, run into, or having an SUV flip over in front of you. The bad driving is multinational, but I believe it's the most prevalent. They have between four and six wrecks a day, and over 50% of those are people without licenses, without insurance, and with no English skills."

This week, Springfield was thrust into the national spotlight due to former President Trump's criticism of the town's issues during the presidential debate, accusing President Biden and Vice President Harris of promoting an "open-border" policy.

In her 2019 presidential campaign, Harris advocated for decriminalizing illegal border crossings, shutting down immigration detention centers on day one, and starting Immigration and Customs Enforcement from scratch.

As the 2024 Democratic nominee, Harris has promised to secure the borders and fix the immigration system. Additionally, she has strengthened her stance on providing an "earned pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants.

Harris' border security pledge was met with skepticism from Sanders after three and-a-half years in office.
