Exclusive Access: The Five Now Streaming on Fox Nation
"The Five" with Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jesse Watters, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Jessica Tarlov and Harold Ford, Jr. is the focus of a new Fox Nation special, providing exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the popular cable news show.
"The Five" is a beloved program in cable news history, and Planet Chronicle fans will get an exclusive look at what makes it so special in the new series "Behind the Scenes: The Five." The show will feature candid interviews with each co-host, including a tour of Pirro's office, a peek inside Perino's closet, and Watters' humorous thoughts on his colleagues.
Tarlov explains to viewers that the warm atmosphere of the show is due to its breezy, roundtable format and the viewers' desire for that type of show. As a result, everyone feels like they are part of a kooky family.
Pirro, a TV news veteran, believes that the hit program "really is fun" and that on-air spats don't spill over because the ensemble has such good chemistry.
"We all like each other," Pirro said.
The Five" hosts share their origin stories and reveal details about their colleagues in "Behind the Scenes: The Five.
Tarlov joked that Jesse is always a delightful surprise, and he has a great text message exchange with his mother. He also pointed out that people often underestimate how entertaining Pirro can be.
"It's disappointing that it's not 'The Six,' so I don't get to spend much time with Harold Ford, Jr. He's a kind and generous person," Tarlov said.
In the special, Perino, who is compared to NFL legend Tom Brady, explained that the co-hosts being raised in different parts of America helps viewers relate to the program.
Perino believes that their diverse backgrounds, including growing up in New York City, Berkeley, California, the West, Upstate New York, Memphis, and other locations, help them connect with their audience and for the audience to relate to them.
Despite airing at 5 p.m. ET, "The Five" has become the most-watched program in cable news during the news-heavy month of August, surpassing primetime ratings.
Despite the Democratic National Convention airing in primetime, "The Five" still finished No. 1 in August with 3.3 million viewers. However, this is not new for the show, as it has consistently been the most-watched cable news program in America during the second quarter of 2024.
For 11 consecutive quarters, "The Five" has been the highest-rated non-primetime program on cable news.
Now streaming on Fox Nation is an exclusive look at "Behind the Scenes: The Five".
