Ex-Obama advisor cautions that it's possible for Trump to win re-election if held today, warns against underestimating him.

According to Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior Obama adviser, polling and data experts believe that the campaign fight between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is extremely close, contrary to most reporters' opinions.

According to multiple national polls, Trump and Harris are in a close contest in the final months leading up to election day. A recent CNN poll showed Harris with a slight advantage in Michigan and Wisconsin, while Trump leads in Arizona. However, Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania remain toss-ups.

"According to Pfeiffer, if you ask people who closely monitor the numbers and pay attention to the battleground states, the outcome is closer to a 50-50 split. He believes it's possible that if the election were held today, Trump would win."

Pfeiffer stated that Pennsylvania, along with other battleground states, is making it challenging to determine the outcome of the race between Trump and Harris due to the confidence disparity.

"Battleground state poll numbers are all toss-ups, with no candidate leading by more than two points in any of them, and most of them being tied or at one point, according to Pfeiffer."

If one of the candidates does not win Pennsylvania, the math becomes complicated quickly, he stated.

The Harris campaign instructed Planet Chronicle Digital to retrieve Jen O'Malley Dillon's previous remarks about the race.

"Despite being the underdogs in the race, Dillon emphasized in a memo released on Sunday that Donald Trump has a motivated base of support with more support and higher favorability than he has had at any point since 2020."
