'Everybody needs to be part of the solution': Tim Tebow introduces new bill to combat child exploitation

Tim Tebow is joining a bipartisan group of lawmakers to combat child exploitation.

On "Fox & Friends" Thursday, the former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner explained his support for the Renewed Hope Act.

"Tebow stated that building an army, equipping and training them to rescue boys and girls is necessary. "It's about everyone being a part of the solution," he emphasized."

Tebow, along with Sens. Cornyn, Blumenthal, Lee, and Wasserman Schultz, announced the Renewed Hope Act of 2024 on the Capitol lawn, which aims to combat online child exploitation.

Lawmakers claim that the bill would improve the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's ability to detect, save, and safeguard victims of online child sexual exploitation and prosecute perpetrators.

Tim Tebow on his foundation's fight for the 'most vulnerable people'

In 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Child Crime Prevention and Safety Center reported 36.2 million suspected cases of online child exploitation. Over half of the victims were aged 12 to 15.

Tebow's foundation has collaborated with Homeland Security Investigations to rescue as many victims of child sexual abuse as possible.

Tebow stated that the issue isn't limited to policies and procedures, but rather it involves people, particularly the future generation of boys and girls.

"We consistently discuss the future with the next generation. This presents an opportunity for us to significantly influence the outcome."
