Dr. Phil: 'I'm an expert on bullying, and Trump is not a bully.'
Dr. Phil McGraw stated at the Madison Square Garden rally that there must be an imbalance of power, and if not, it is simply referred to as a debate.
During his speech at the Madison Square Garden [MSG] rally on Sunday evening, Dr. Phil McGraw stated that former President Trump is not a bully.
"Bullying is always wrong, and that's what's happening now. When the critics hear me talk about this, they'll say, 'Wait a minute, come on, isn't Trump a bully?' But the answer is no," McGraw said to a crowd of thousands at MSG.
According to McGraw, bullying requires an imbalance of power. If there isn't one, it's just a debate. However, he is better at it than anyone else. It's called debating, arguing, and even name-calling. But it's not bullying unless there's an imbalance of power.
At the rally, Trump received an endorsement from McGraw, who had never previously supported him.
In an interview with Trump on Merit Street Media earlier this year, McGraw stated that he does not endorse candidates. Additionally, McGraw had previously criticized the "weaponization" of the justice system after Trump's guilty verdict.
Several celebrities and high profile politicians, including UFC CEO Dana White, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, "Jersey Shore" star Vinny Guadagnino, and iconic wrestler Hulk Hogan, delivered speeches at the massive rally.
On Sunday at 7 p.m., Trump held a massive rally in Midtown Manhattan, with an estimated 40,000 supporters in attendance, both inside and outside the arena.
Although McGraw may not be an expert in politics, he is an expert on bullying.
McGraw stated that bullying involves harming someone, intimidating, coercing, causing distress, fear, and risk to their well-being. It can take the form of physical, verbal, relational, or cyberbullying, and it is always wrong.
Trump supporters are often subjected to bullying tactics such as being "canceled, intimidated, marginalized, excluded, or even fired or boycotted."
That adds up to being bullied, and I know a lot about it, he said.
"Now you're in my wheelhouse, buddy," McGraw added.
