Don Lemon Defends His Rant on Trump Supporters: "It's Just Too Bad"

Don Lemon maintains his stance on calling Trump supporters "dumb f---ing idiots," and tells critics who are upset with his comments to "get over it."

During his YouTube show on Tuesday night, Lemon acknowledged the criticism he faced following his use of derogatory language to describe MAGA supporters in a heated rant.

Despite his claim that he was responding to those who had a "racist" reaction to President-elect Donald Trump appointing Sriram Krishnan as a senior advisor on artificial intelligence, he later attacked Trump supporters.

"As usual, people become upset when they are criticized. However, I am not referring to all Trump supporters. Instead, I am addressing the individuals who blindly support the MAGA movement and make excuses for any behavior, regardless of how bad it may be."

He affirmed, "Indeed, I maintain my statement! If you dislike my words, then too bad, I am indifferent!"

Trump supporters were criticized for their hypocrisy in attacking Lemon's language while defending their "cult leader."

Lemon stated that he believes the person in the Oval Office has lower expectations from him, an independent journalist and former cable news host, than he does from him, despite his mouth being worse.

He added, "He calls everyone dumb, including Black women. He has called me dumb and used profanity against athletes. He calls people out on their names and you love it. But when someone says the truth about you, you get all butthurt and in your feelings."

In his original video, Lemon referred to Trump supporters as "dumb f---ing idiots" and made fun of their "stupid MAGA brain."

"You're so stupid and you deserve it," he said. "Yes, I am gloating over your stupidity."

"You've been co-opted because you're in a cult and you don't even realize it because you have a MAGA brain, and you don't understand it," he said. "How foolish and ignorant are you?"
