Don Lemon advises Trump to lower temperature and cease threatening democracy after assassination attempt.
Don Lemon was invited back as a guest on the network following his termination last year.
On Monday, Don Lemon, a former CNN host, advised President Trump to moderate his language if he wants to put an end to political violence in the country.
On Monday night, the journalist stated on his old network that Trump should include himself when referencing political rhetoric after the second assassination attempt in two months, while speaking to CNN anchor Erin Burnett.
If Donald Trump wants people to stop saying he is a threat to democracy, he should stop threatening democracy, according to Lemon.
On Sunday, Ryan Routh, the suspect in the assassination attempt on President Trump, was arrested by U.S. Secret Service agents after being discovered preparing to shoot Trump with a rifle at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
As Trump golfed, an advance team noticed Routh's muzzle sticking out of a chain-link fence near where Trump would eventually play. Agents shot at the suspect, who ran and was eventually arrested while trying to flee the scene in a vehicle. The FBI is investigating the incident as an assassination attempt. Trump was unharmed, and the suspect did not fire any shots in his direction.
Trump blamed his opponents' demonizing rhetoric for the gunshot wound he sustained two months ago at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump should tone down his rhetoric, as Lemon suggested.
He began by stating that it was an issue for Donald Trump and his supporters, as well as JD Vance, to claim that Democrats were responsible for the current situation.
The journalist enumerated the instances in which Trump has vilified his adversaries in the media and politics.
Lemon, who worked for CNN from 2006 until his firing last year, stated that he was called "the enemy of the people" by someone who works in the building, which led to the sending of pipe bombs.
Trump made controversial remarks about the auto industry, stating that there would be a bloodbath if he lost the election. He also criticized Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Jack Smith, and Nikki Haley, calling them 'crooked' and 'deranged,' respectively.
Lemon paraphrased Trump's sharp rhetoric, stating that if he is not elected, there will be no more elections. He added that immigrants bring drugs, crime, and are rapists, and that they poison the blood of the country. Lemon also pointed out that this rhetoric was similar to Hitler's and that it was communist, Marxist, and fascist in nature.
If he doesn't want people to be honest about what he is, who he is, and what he's doing, he shouldn't be trying to overturn elections, overthrow the government, and inciting insurrections.
Lemon's comments were criticized by Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung, who accused him of having a "severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome." Cheung also blamed the Democrats and Kamala Harris for the two heinous assassination attempts on President Trump and their violent rhetoric.
"The Democrats and Kamala Harris's use of the justice system to spread false accusations against President Trump and their hateful rhetoric have been reprehensible. If they do not apologize and tone down their attacks, they are promoting more violence against him."
