DNC attendees struggle to identify their preferred Harris policy: 'I like her as an individual'
A young blond woman replied, "As a person, she just tops out any policy."
Multiple supporters of Vice President Kamala Harris' bid for the presidency were interviewed by an intern with The Free Press, but they had difficulty identifying specific policies they back.
Critics have accused Harris' campaign of not allowing the vice president to hold a press conference or formal interview to reveal her policy plans as president.
Julia Steinberg, a Free Press intern and editor-in-chief of Stanford Review, questioned several DNC attendees about their preferred policy from Harris.
"Will Democrats at the DNC choose their preferred Kamala policy?" The Free Press account on the X platform reported.
"The older man replied to the intern, "Because she defends everything as president.""
One woman responded, "I'm really excited for her to restore reproductive rights across America." But when asked about how Harris would accomplish this, she hesitated, looked at the camera and said, "...I don't know."
Another attendee had a similar exchange, first stating their support for affordable healthcare, but when asked about specific actions, responded with a similarly vague answer, "I believe she'll work to motivate the legislature to vote in favor of it."
"The older, grey-bearded attendee stated, "All of her policies, including those for basic human rights such as the right to control our own bodies, apply to me as a nonbinary individual.""
"She is the best person I've ever met, and I really admire her," the young woman said.
The young man responded to the interviewer by emphasizing the importance of considering things from a broad perspective.
"He said, "You need to consider it comprehensively, don't you?" It's about her current values."
