'Despite backlash from some fans following his endorsement of Donald Trump, 'Shazam!' star Zachary Levi remains optimistic about the future of the film franchise.'
The actor stated that the Trump years were markedly superior to the Biden-Harris administration on Bill Maher's "Club Random" podcast.
On Bill Maher's "Club Random" podcast Sunday, Zachary Levi stated that his endorsement of President-elect Donald Trump hasn't impacted his career.
In September, during a Trump event in Michigan, Levi disclosed his preferred presidential candidate while moderating alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.
""We are going to reclaim this country and restore its greatness. We will also revitalize its health. I stand with Bobby and all those who support President Trump, as he is the only candidate who can lead us to our desired outcome," Levi stated."
The actor, who is from Hollywood, discussed Trump's win with Maher, who stated that the Democrats had lost a "crazy election" to a "crazy individual."
Trump's years of success demonstrate his competence, even if he isn't flawless, according to Levi.
""He believes that the four years of his presidency were significantly better than the four years of the Biden-Harris presidency and vice presidency," he said."
During the Trump years, he stated that our border was more secure, our economy was more stable, and crime rates had decreased.
Maher assumed that Levi had been canceled and lost jobs due to his Trump endorsement, but Levi pushed back, stating that it did not seem to have affected his career.
Levi informed the talk show host that he had not yet witnessed the ultimate effects of the ongoing situation and that none of his multiple jobs had been affected.
None of the producers or studios associated with those films or projects have contacted me to express concern about the line I took, and we are continuing to move forward with those projects.
"I am uncertain about how it will unfold in the future."
Levi acknowledged that he may have missed some backlash while working on a movie in Eastern Europe and plans to discuss the matter with his team. He admits that he hasn't spoken to anyone about it yet and is uncertain of the reaction.
Bewildered, Maher exclaimed, "I swear I remember that happening already."
"I believe it was due to my support for Bobby during the town hall with Tulsi. I strongly desired Bobby to become our candidate," Levi stated.
Additionally, he noted Maher's stance against the extremes of woke Democrat politics.
Levi remarked that Joe Rogan, like many others who were once classified as classically liberal, found themselves left behind in the left-woke movement and felt that they hadn't moved or changed, but rather the boundaries had shifted.
Maher stated that he disagrees with the far-left, saying, "They engage in insane, absurd behavior and possess a vulgar, disrespectful mindset, and I refuse to conform like others."
