Democratic leaders criticized for poor wildfire preparedness, Aurora Culpo calls for Newsom and Bass to resign.
Newsom and Bass receive criticism from Culpo on 'Barely Filtered' podcast during California wildfires.
The ongoing wildfires in California are being fiercely fought by firefighters, but celebrities and state residents are harshly criticizing government officials, including Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, for their perceived lack of preparedness.
At least 10 people have been killed and over 10,000 homes and buildings have been destroyed by fire since Tuesday, according to local law enforcement reports.
"Aurora Culpo, host of the podcast "Barely Filtered," stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that if this was a business, every person in office would be fired due to the lack of true leadership in our state."
Government officials are receiving harsh criticism from vocal celebrities such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Patricia Heaton, and Jillian Michaels.
On Thursday, Culpo, originally from Rhode Island, and her children left Manhattan Beach where they resided.
"Culpo stated that the disaster was not unexpected, as they had anticipated the possibility of fire and had the preparedness of a third world country in a highly taxed region. Those in charge should be held accountable and resign."
Government officials should be held to extremely high expectations, and political accountability should be enforced with rigor, she added.
Culpo stated that the incompetence of both Gov. Newsom and Bass resulted in the loss of lives, communities, and billions of dollars.
""The captain resigns with the ship," she said."
"She stated that she doesn't care about Newsom's political affiliation, whether he is Republican or Democrat, and that he is shifting responsibility by labeling the issue as local."
"Culpo stated that those who voted for Newsom's re-election have blood on their hands, and he stands by his statement. He added, "This is a blue state. If we cannot blame the Democratic Party, then who can we blame? If we cannot hold anyone accountable, then how do we expect changes to occur?""
The mother of two agreed with President-elect Donald Trump's statement on Truth Social that the spread of wildfires was due to the "gross incompetence" of Bass and Newsom.
"I agree with him 100 percent," she said.
Culpo stated that she supports environmentalism, conservation, LGBTQ rights, and diversity, but emphasized that safety should always be the top priority in the hierarchy of needs.
Culpo stated that our society is not yet advanced enough to be concerned about the diversity of our firefighters.
"We are providing funding for sex changes for inmates in prison, but we cannot fill the reservoirs because we want to protect the smelt fish," she stated.
According to the California Family Counsel, since 2017, the state has reportedly spent $4 million in taxpayer funds on surgeries for trans inmates, including breast augmentation and facial feminization.
The depleting smelt and Chinook salmon population in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, a top water supply system in California, largely protect it.
"Despite your stance on sex changes for inmates or the smell of fish, the issue is that our priorities are misplaced," Culpo stated.
Although firefighters have been working tirelessly to extinguish the flames, some fires remain uncontrolled. Meanwhile, Culpo is taking her children to San Francisco to visit her sister, Olivia Culpo, and her new husband, NFL running back Christian McCaffrey.
"Culpo expressed concern about her kids due to the air quality, stating that the pollutants present in the air can lead to long-term health issues."
