David Axelrod predicts Trump's return to office as a victor.
'This political comeback is likely one of the most astonishing in American history.'
During an appearance on CNN Sunday night, David Axelrod stated that President Donald Trump is returning to Washington as a "conqueror" ahead of Monday's inauguration.
"The CNN political commentator stated that when considering how he left Washington four years ago, it would have been impossible to predict the current circumstances, as he has returned as a "conqueror" with a sense of triumph."
He stated that there is a significant amount of dissatisfaction in the country, which is a result of the pandemic, inflation, and people's desire to address the issue with an angioplasty.
Axelrod also described the coming inauguration as "historic."
"Regardless of your views on Donald Trump, it's undeniable that his political comeback was likely the most astounding in American history," he stated.
"The challenge for Donald Trump will be to deliver the kind of relief that people are looking for, or to simply hit the funny bone of the base on social issues while their day-to-day lives don't change significantly."
Trump's political comeback has been called the greatest in modern history.
Four years after his departure from the White House following the 2016 presidential election and the subsequent January 6th Capitol riot, Americans are electing him to return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Trump declared it a historic political triumph.
