Dave Portnoy on Taylor Swift's Kamala Harris endorsement: "I'm voting differently, but that's okay."

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and a self-proclaimed "Swiftie," stated on Wednesday that although Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris does not alter his view of the popstar, he intends to "vote the other way."

"As the king of the Swifties, people are asking me about my thoughts on Kamala's endorsement. I couldn't care less. People have the right to vote for whoever they choose in this country. My opinion of someone won't be affected by their voting choices." Portnoy posted on X. "I'm voting differently, but to each their own."

Swift endorsed Harris for president after the Democratic nominee walked off-stage from the presidential debate against Trump. Writing on Instagram, the singer said she will be voting for Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that need a warrior to champion them.

"I have completed my research and made my decision. It is now up to you to do your own research and make your own choice. As a reminder, especially for first-time voters, in order to vote, you must be registered. Additionally, I suggest voting early as it is a more convenient option. I will provide a link to register and find early voting dates and information in my story."

This week, Portnoy disclosed on Fox Business that he intends to cast his vote for Trump, following Varney's statement that he seems like a "Trump supporter."

"Portnoy stated that he is voting for Trump, despite not identifying as a "Trump guy." He admitted that if he found a better candidate, he would be open to changing his vote. Although he did not vote for Trump in the Republican primaries, he is now supporting him in the general election."

Trump dismissed Swift's endorsement of his opponent on "Fox & Friends" Wednesday, stating that he expected it and it was only a matter of time before she made her choice.

"Trump stated that he couldn't possibly endorse Biden and that he is not a Taylor Swift fan."

"He remarked that she is a very liberal individual who consistently supports Democrats. As a result, she may face consequences in the marketplace."
