Dana Bash of CNN argues that Harris evaded answering questions about fracking: "That's essentially your response."
The Democratic presidential nominee's first official interview was conducted by Bash.
Bash stated, "It's not possible to force someone to answer a question, so I tried to get more specific and obtain a clear answer. In my experience with interviews, asking once or twice is usually sufficient. However, if I don't receive a clear response after three attempts, that's my answer."
Although fracking is a larger concern in Pennsylvania compared to other states, Harris' shift in stance on it could sway potential voters.

"In 2020, I made it clear where I stood. Although it's 2024 now, my position hasn't changed. I've kept my word and will continue to do so," Harris stated.
My values have not changed, and I believe it is crucial that we take the climate crisis seriously. To achieve this, we can continue with what we have accomplished so far. The Inflation Reduction Act, which has invested over a trillion dollars in a clean energy economy over the next 10 years, is an example of our efforts. Additionally, we have already created over 300,000 new clean energy jobs.
