'Coloradans on edge over immigration crisis in Denver': Just address the issue.
One Denver resident told Planet Chronicle Digital to simply solve the problem.
Denver residents prefer action over bluster from the incoming Trump administration and Mayor Mike Johnston.
""Both men are making a lot of noise, but all we need is for them to solve the problem," Rob said."
An apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado was the focus of a viral video featuring Venezuelan gang members carrying guns, highlighting immigration issues in the Denver area.
Trump stated that he is ready to declare a national emergency and employ military resources in a large-scale deportation plan.
Johnston predicted a "Tiananmen Square moment" with police deployment and protesters meeting federal immigration officials at the county line. He later walked back his comments, but still stated in November that he is prepared to go to jail for opposing the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.
"George told Planet Chronicle Digital that the mayor's comments were nothing more than bluster and that it's not going to happen."
George, who stated that he doesn't believe in borders in general, also questioned the feasibility of mass deportations.
Despite Shane's statement that an influx of migrants in recent years has strained the community, he also expressed the same skepticism.
"Over 1.2 million people are already scheduled for deportation, and it's unlikely they will be able to locate and track them," he stated.
Tom Homan, Trump's "border czar" pick, and the Denver mayor share the same view on one thing, according to Sean Hannity.
"I'm willing to imprison him, and he's willing to be imprisoned," Homan stated.
"Josh stated that the discourse was not very helpful, as President Trump had been too aggressive and Biden's approach was not ideal."
The incoming president's priority is to remove illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, but his administration is ready to address law-abiding immigrants after that.
Denver residents interviewed by Planet Chronicle Digital had differing opinions on whether undocumented individuals should be deported.
"Karen stated that she disagrees with Trump's approach and sentiment regarding the influx of migrants, despite the difficulties it has caused for their city. She believes in the American story and immigration."
According to Rob, 70% of Americans occupy a middle position on the issue.
He remarked, "What you truly hear are the two poles shrieking, and I don't believe it benefits the public."
Neither Mayor Johnston's office nor several city councilors responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for an interview.
