CNN host: "It's unbelievable that Trump is complaining about rhetoric."
Democrats' rhetoric has been blamed by Trump for the second assassination attempt against him.
Sara Sidner of CNN ridiculed Trump for accusing the Democratic Party of inciting the second assassination attempt on him, stating that his unfounded "eating pets" statement against illegal immigrants during the debate has led to threats in an Ohio town.
The assassination attempt against the former president has sparked a lot of discussion about the impact of rhetoric, specifically from the Trump campaign, Vance's team, and the Republicans. According to Sidner, the rhetoric has had a significant effect on the town, making it "rich." She added, "Unbelievable."
In recent days, schools and hospitals in Springfield have been forced to close and evacuate due to bomb threats. These threats were triggered by unsubstantiated claims made by Trump and JD Vance that Haitian migrants were consuming dogs and cats in the town.
Trump claimed that the "rhetoric" of President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris led to his being "shot at" during the second assassination attempt against him in July. He stated this to Planet Chronicle Digital, explaining that the suspected gunman acted on the "highly inflammatory language" of Democrats.
CNN's Brynn Gingras joined Sidner to discuss the threats in Springfield.
Gingras stated that the governor has claimed that there were 33 bomb threats within the last week, which JD Vance has doubled down on. This has resulted in a significant amount of resources being needed to sweep these schools before the children can enter, as you mentioned.
Two colleges in the Springfield area, in addition to Gingras, had to switch to virtual learning.
Biden and Harris have become targets of Trump's criticism after the second attempt on his life on Sunday.
"Trump stated in an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital that the gunman believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and acted on it. He added, "Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out.""
Biden and Harris were labeled as "threats to democracy" by Trump, despite his claims that they are leaders promoting "unity."
"Trump stated, "They are the opposite. These are individuals who wish to destroy our nation.""
Planet Chronicle' Brooke Singman contributed to this report.
