Claire McCaskill expresses disappointment over Hunter Biden's pardon, stating, "I just hate it."
McCaskill expressed regret after seeing the pardon last night, stating that she wished she wasn't scheduled to appear on TV the following day.
On Monday, former Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill expressed her regret over the "ammunition" that President Biden's decision to pardon his son Hunter would provide to the Trump world.
"McCaskill expressed her feelings on MSNBC's "Deadline: White House" when she saw the pardon last night, saying, "Although I'm glad I'm on TV with you, I kind of wished I wasn't going to be on TV today.""
"She stated, 'I understand Joe Biden's pardon completely. I get it. It's understandable. However, the 'both sides' individuals now have a powerful weapon due to this, which I dislike.'"
Although she acknowledged that Biden is a "wonderful man" who "loves his family desperately," she still regretted how he had repeatedly insisted he would not pardon his son.
She stated that Trump's repeated denial of doing something and then doing it allows people to argue that Biden is no different due to the mountain of lies, scandal, corruption, and lack of integrity surrounding Trump.
"McCaskill stated that Joe Biden is different from Donald Trump and that he is not the same. She expressed her disappointment that Biden did not say he would pardon his son, stating that it was a political persecution. Despite this, McCaskill stated that she hates the fact that Biden did not say it and that he ultimately did pardon his son."
On Sunday night, Biden declared that he had granted his son a pardon, stating that the accusations against Hunter were unjust.

After multiple insistence from White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the announcement came regarding Hunter's federal trial results.
While defending the president, other Democrats and liberal media figures also criticized Biden's decision.
Former Congressman Joe Walsh on MSNBC Sunday night said that for those who have been criticizing Donald Trump for years, Biden's recent actions were a reminder that nobody is above the law.
Donald Trump and his people have been screaming about the politicization of the justice system, while Joe Biden repeatedly lied about it. That's exactly what Biden said here.
