Chuck Todd of NBC suggests that President Biden should seek therapy after pardoning his son Hunter.
Todd stated that Biden was "unfit to be president" and "should not have run."
NBC News' Chuck Todd gave a deeply personal critique of President Biden after the commander-in-chief pardoned his son, Hunter, in a controversial yet unsurprising decision.
Todd confessed to Cillizza that he was certain Biden would grant a pardon to his son, who was facing legal consequences for two offenses.
Todd stated that Joe Biden requires therapy, which he said with respect. Biden has not yet processed Beau's death, and he struggles with the issue of Hunter's behavior. He constantly questions whether he made the right choices when raising Hunter versus Beau. Todd believes that Biden may feel responsible for Hunter's inability to act like an adult.
Beau passed away in 2015 following a battle with brain cancer.
Todd, who has had a personal relationship with Biden's sons in the past, stated that Hunter has "failed at being a human being" in the last decade.
"Todd stated that it was clear that Joe Biden would not depart from his office without taking all necessary measures to safeguard his son, adding that it was a "dad reaction.""
Biden would never endure the embarrassment of being pardoned by President-elect Trump, as he had suggested.
Todd ended his reply by asserting that President Biden was "unfit to lead" and "should not have entered the race."
On Sunday night, Hunter Biden stated that he would never take lightly the clemency his father granted him and that he intends to spend his life assisting those struggling with addiction.
Biden, 54, has been occupied with court proceedings, beginning with his first trial in Delaware in June, where he was charged with three felony firearm offenses, before admitting guilt in a separate felony tax case in September.
Biden's decision to pardon his son marks a shift from his earlier statements to the media, where he stated he would not do so.
The Biden White House did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
