Carville criticizes Vice President Harris' campaign strategy of not distancing from Biden: "We got f-----"
Carville criticized Harris' team, stating that winning is everything and failure is unacceptable.
James Carville, a former Bill Clinton adviser and a democratic strategist, gave a postmortem on why Vice President Kamala Harris lost the presidential election last week.
In recent weeks, Carville predicted a Harris victory, but argued that her campaign failed to distinguish herself from the Biden administration, resulting in her rejection by voters along with Biden.
On Sunday, Carville declared in a YouTube video, "I'm not going to do anything different!"
The pundit recounted his experience working on the Clinton campaign and the fundamental principles that guided their successful campaign.
"If you are a president running in a country where over two-thirds of people believe it is heading in the wrong direction, it is crucial to address the issue of change versus more of the same, as it was the second most important concern in 1992, following the economy."
Harris was criticized by him for not abandoning Biden's platform. He stated, "All of her advisors were Biden supporters, and they could no longer distance themselves from him, just like I couldn't from Clinton."
Biden's withdrawal from re-election late in the game resulted in no changes from his campaign to hers, according to Carville.
"The attitude remained unchanged, and we got f-----" he declared.
He acknowledged that his strategy was flawed but persisted, stating, "Ultimately, the key question is, 'What would you do differently?'"
In the clip, Carville criticized Democrats for failing to capitalize on what he considered to be the easiest opportunity to gain ground in the election.
He slammed those in the party, offering excuses like racism in the country.
You will have to win elections since they will be present, is that understood?
Carville asserted that winning is everything, and if you don't win, you haven't accomplished anything. He criticized those who lost the election because they refused to criticize Biden.
"You can go out and feel good about yourself, knowing that President Biden gave you a chance in life. As a loyal person, you would rather not say anything bad about him and instead lose the election."
"Come on, come on," he said, blasting that attitude. "Winning the election is the only purpose in politics."
Following the re-election of President Trump, Carville posted a YouTube update expressing disappointment and stating that he would need to reevaluate his strategy and views on America.
He stated that it is difficult for him to accept that he is 80 years old and resides in a country that has elected a bigoted felon who lacks knowledge of the world and is extremely narrow-minded and non-religious.
