Bill Maher reaffirms his election prediction while cautioning Democrats about the enduring nature of 'Trumpism'.
'According to Maher, Trump may depart, but Trumpism will persist.'
Bill Maher predicted on his podcast that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 election, while also warning Democrats that "Trumpism" would persist regardless of the election outcome.
During the debate, he thought she was great and couldn't be more thrilled, and he put his money on it that Kamala would win the election, as he said on his "Club Random" podcast on Sunday.
Maher predicted that Trump will eventually step away from politics after this, as he has reached his "Joe McCarthy stage" where people are tired of his tactics. However, he believes that Trumpism will persist.
The liberal host, who frequently criticizes the "woke" left, claimed that the "insanity" of the left on issues of gender, race, and free speech had driven away the average American.
As long as Democrats did not condemn these extreme views, "Trumpism" would persist.
Maher described "Trumpism" as a fear of the far-left's insanity, which is not entirely unfounded, and therefore, anyone is better than that. Trump embodies this idea because he is seen as "anyone." If Trump is acceptable, even in his monstrosity, and is still better than what the left fears, then this is a problem that the left must confront.
He stated, "As long as you don't address that issue, they will continually bring up a Trump."
He stated that Republicans supporting Trump are convinced that the opposing side poses an existential threat, and the other side provides them with ample evidence to justify their beliefs.
The host of "Real Time" predicted that Trump would lose the election after the presidential debate.
Maher declared, "I believe it's finished," to the applause of his liberal crowd.
"In the early 50s, there was a man named Joe McCarthy who had a significant impact on America. For a few years, he was extremely popular, but eventually, his influence faded. Now, I feel like I'm at the point where I want to eat the dogs."
